BY BOOKING YOU AGREE TO THE FOLLOWING POLICIES DEPOSIT POLICY

  • ⁠All bookings require a $30 non-refundable deposit. The deposit goes towards the final cost of the chosen hairstyle. Please note: A processing fee may be added at checkout if you pay with a credit/debit card. To waive the processing fee, you may pay onsite. If you choose to pay onsite, please send your security deposit via Zelle to afroluxebraidingbar@gmail.com. Please confirm your appointment by sending proof of deposit payment to (301) 792-2121 within 6 hours after booking to avoid cancellation and forfeiture of your security deposit.
  • Deposits are non-refundable unless the salon reschedules or cancels your appointment.
  • ⁠Deposits can be transferred for rescheduling (once) if you inform us or cancel 24 hours before your appointment.
  • ⁠Your deposit will be applied towards a future appointment within 30 days of your initial appointment.
  • Cancelling appointments with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Cancelling Policy

  • We offer the following colors of braiding hair (colors: 1, 1 b, 2, 4, 30, 27, 613, 350) for all services. Please select your color when booking. If you must provide your regular braiding hair, it has to be pre-stretched. Human hair, synthetic curly, crochet hair, etc., are available for purchase or can be provided by the client.
  • Same-day significant style change is NOT ENCOURAGED.
  • ⁠Please wash your hair (no more than 3 days) before your braiding experience. Hair must be detangled entirely, and PLEASE blow dry or stretch out your hair from roots to tips to ensure no pulling and a neater outcome. This applies to all styles (no exceptions).
  • Please know that oils/butters are not leave-ins and cannot be used as preparation for your appointment.
  • ⁠Hair must be at least 3 inches long in the shortest area.
  • Lack of preparation will result in your appointment being cancelled and the deposit forfeited or a fee.
  • Please note that if your hair is severely matted, there may be a chance that we won’t be able to detangle it even if you choose the detangle add-on. In this case, your appointment may be canceled, and you will lose your deposit.
  • All times are estimated, and delays may be expected. If we are running late, we will contact you to provide notice. We are working as fast as possible to ensure timely service. Please note that some styles may require additional time for specific clients due to factors such as hair type. Therefore, we advise against planning important events immediately after your appointment to avoid rushing.

Late Arrival

  • We allow a 15-minute grace period without a late fee. At 15-20 minutes, a $20 late fee (if time permits) or cancellation fee applies. 20 minutes past = appointment is cancelled.
  • NO SHOWS NO CALL/NO SHOW WILL BE BLOCKED FROM BOOKING. ALL DEPOSITS WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE. NO EXEMPTIONS.

Payments

We accept payments via Zelle, Cash App, Cash, and Visa Debit/Credit Cards (with a govrment issued ID Card). Please note that transactions made with cards and Cash App may be subject to a processing fee.

ALLERGIES

Please ensure you inform us of any known allergies to Afroluxe braiding Bar and/or any products we use. By booking with Afroluxe braiding Bar, you are agreeing to all terms and conditions.
