Policy Policy
- A $50 non-refundable deposit is required upon booking your appointment. Deposit goes towards the final cost of the hairstyle chosen.
- We will confirm or reject your appointment within 24 hours. Please note: A processing fee may be added at checkout if you pay with card.
- To waive the processing fee, select on-site payment. This necessitates sending your deposit via Zelle to the following phone number: 404-429-7702 ( registered as The African Braiding Bar LLC)
- To confirm your appointment, you must provide proof of deposit payment to 470-830-1386. Failure to do so within 5 hours of booking will result in forfeiture of your appointment.
Cancelling Policy
- Deposits are non-refundable unless the salon has to reschedule or reject your appointment.
- Deposit can be transferred for rescheduling (once) If you inform us or cancel 48 hours before your appointment.
- Your deposit will be applied towards a future appointment within 30 days from your initial appointment.
- Cancelling appointments with less than 48 hours notice will result in forfeiture of your deposit.
Appointment Infos
- Braiding hair (colors: 1,1b,2,4,30,27,613,350) is provided for all services, and you will select your color when booking. Human hair, synthetic curly, crochet hair, etc., are to be provided by the client. If you opt to supply your own braiding hair, it must be pre-stretched.
- We recommends brands, Freetress and Maydee [Deep Twist] for synthetic styles).
- The salon requires the hair to be prepped before the appointment which saves time on the day of. If you’re purchasing with Us, please visit our online store at theafricabraidingbar.com/shop and select “In-person pickup / appointment ready” at checkout. The stylist will prep the hair. If you purchased hair elsewhere, please drop it at the studio at least 1-day before your scheduled appointment. If you are unable to, there is a possibility your appointment will be cancelled. Thank you for your understanding.
- Same day major style change is PROHIBITED.
- Hair MUST be cleaned, dry and product-free (no more than 3 days). Hair must be completely detangled, and PLEASE blow dry or stretch out your hair from roots to tips to ensure no pulling and a neater outcome. This applies to all styles (no exceptions). If you are not booking our shampoo/blow-dry and detangle add-ons.
- Please know that oils/butters are not leave-ins and can NOT be used as preparation for your appointment.
- Hair must be at least 3-4 inches in length all over for most styles. If you have short hair (less than 4 inches) or any problem areas, please notify us prior to booking as price changes can occur. If you have any doubts or questions, please text 470-830-1386.
- If you have any scalp conditions; bald spots, thin edges, hair breakages, please book a consultation session first.
- For hair that has been blunt cut: Please allow 4-6 months AFTER CUT before booking braids. Blunt ends cannot be tucked efficiently resulting in longer braiding times which can result in a surcharge up to $35.
- Lack of preparation will result in your appointment being cancelled and deposit forfeited or a fee.
- Please note that if your hair is severely matted, there may be a chance that we won’t be able to detangle it even if you choose the detangle add-on. In this case, your appointment may be canceled, and you will lose your deposit. to avoid this please contact act us at least 2 days before your appointment: 470-830-1386
- All times are estimated, and delays may be expected. If we are running late, we will reach out to you to provide notice. We are working as fast as possible to ensure timely service. Please keep in mind that some styles may take longer on certain clients due to hair type and other factors. Therefore, we advise against planning important events immediately after your appointment to avoid rushing.
VIP / Priority Booking
Take complete control of your booking, with the flexibility to schedule early mornings, after-hours, or Sundays. This also guarantees an appointment before general booking opens. There is a $100 fee and it is booked via text.
Please note: A $150 non-refundable deposit is required, and $50 goes towards the appointment. All appointments are subject to approval. If we do not approve, we will refund $150.
Home Services
Stylists are now available to take care of your hair in the comfort of your own home. Please submit application through our contact form with your Full name, Address, date, time, copy of your driver license (for our security) and desired style. We will get back to you within 24hrs
Please note: Atlanta-metropolitan Home service additional fee ranges from $300-$1000. (A non-refundable deposit fee+$100 will be required)
Same Day Appointment
- We do not accommodate same-day appointments; availability is on a first-come, first-served basis. We recommend calling or texting us at: 470-830-1386 in advance to check our schedule.
Late Arrival
We allow a 15-minutes grace period without a late fee. At 15-20 minutes = $20 late fee (if time permits) or cancelled. 20 minutes past = appointment is cancelled.
No Shows
NO CALL/NO SHOW WILL BE BLOCKED FROM BOOKING. ALL DEPOSITS WILL BE NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE . NO EXEMPTIONS.
Payments
We accept payments via Zelle, Cash App, Cash, and Visa Debit/Credit Cards. Please note that transactions made with cards and Cash App may be subject to a processing fee.
No Guest
We have limited seating, we won’t be able to accomodate extra guests.
No Refunds
Voice any concerns you have while at your appointment. Refunds will not be provided for any services rendered. All sales are final.
